Mariko Suzuki received PhD degree at Waseda University, Japan on semiconductor physics for diamond and wide bandgap materials. She has been working on semiconductor materials and devices in Toshiba Corporation as a senior research scientist and SEKI Diamond Systems as a chief scientist. The main scientific contributions were related to innovative devices, electrical characterization performed on diamond, wide bandgap semiconductors and nanocarbon materials, and CVD growth. Regarding diamond, she has been working on power devices for power electronics, radiation-hardness devices for nuclear plants, and thermionic electron emission devices for cathodes. She is currently working on diamond CVD growth and devices at UCA as a PDI/Beatriz Gallindo belonging to this group.
