Prof.  Javier Navas is a Full Professor in the Physical Chemistry at the Science Faculty, University of Cádiz, Spain. He received his Chemistry degree in 1998 and his Ph D in 2004 in the University of Cádiz. His research interest includes advanced nanomaterials with photoluminescent properties for optoelectronics and biomedicine applications for preparing nanocolloids with amazing properties. Currently, he is working in the synthesis of Si-doped nanodiamonds and the applications. Nowadays, his activity is focussed on the optical characterization of nanocolloids, with high skills in the optical characterization using steady-state photoluminescence, time-resolve emissions,  Raman, or FTIR.
