Daniel F. Reyes is lecturer at the School of Engineering, University of Cádiz. He received his Physic degree (2009) in the University of Cordoba and finished the PhD of Science in the University of Cádiz (2014). Over the years, his research studies have focused on the characterization of materials by transmission electron microscopy techniques, using state-of-the-art microscopes with double aberration correction. He has specialized in the analysis of the structural properties of nanostructures based on III-V semiconductors with N, Bi, Sb and/or Al. Initially, he focused on the study of quantum dots and superlattices for the fabrication of lasers in telecommunications and for solar cells. Currently, his motivation has broadened to include the utilization of diamond-based materials in power devices, as well as the development of materials for single-photon devices intended for quantum telecommunications applications.
